The title of the article is “How Good Is Your Time Management?” The article covers the main roadblocks to effective time management and possible solutions for each topic. The article begins by discussing the importance of knowing where you are with time management skills. A Time Management Quiz is provided to help you identify the aspects of time management you need most help with. The key points covered are: goal setting, procrastination, prioritizing, managing interruptions, and scheduling. I, not surprisingly, need help with all of them. After taking the quiz, above my score it said, “oops, start at the beginning with goal setting” an area I never considered when making my to-do list and managing my time.
I found this article very helpful and useful both for school and the workplace. The article discusses scheduling both priority tasks and contingency time for unexpected events. Using these tips in my scheduling will decrease stress in my life and allow me to focus and create higher-quality work in less time. Good time management skills, and thus, less stress, will allow me to be more productive and creative at work. Incorporating personal goals in my scheduling and time management is another useful tool and will help keep my personal and work life in a healthier balance.
